Entrepreneur Expo set for Cape Town

0
By Gabriella Mulligan on November 12, 2014 Events, Southern Africa

The fifth annual Entrepreneur Expo and Conference is to take place in Cape Town, South Africa, on November 18 and 19, inviting entrepreneurs to showcase their products and network with other members of the ecosystem.

The 2014 conference is to focus on “the fundamentals of being a successful entrepreneur”, with a range of industry experts to give talks, and the exhibition space to be divided into a space for established companies, and a space for new companies to showcase.

Workshops on a variety of business issues and skills will be held, and free one-on-one consultation sessions will also be available with specialists in fields such as intellectual property, tax, and human resources.

“Entrepreneurs are the dynamic visionaries who push the known boundaries, and through taking the risk of setting up a business, create what is needed most in South Africa – a larger economy and more jobs,” the organisers said.

“Entrepreneurship is the lifeblood of an economy. The Entrepreneur Expo and Conference exist to give entrepreneurship the support and encouragement that is needed.”

Keynote speakers include Andrea Böhmert, partner at Knife Capital; Eric Edelstein, serial tech entrepreneur and angel investor; Ernest Boateng, chief operations officer at the South African Institute for Entrepreneurship; and Lebo Gunguluza of the GEM Group, entrepreneur and dragon on Dragons Den SA, among others.

The event will be held at the River Club, and tickets can be purchased via the Entrepreneurs Expo website.
