Total Nigeria and the Wennovation Hub have partnered to launch a hackathon to solve defined Total problem statements, offering the winner US$1,000 and potential adoption of their solution.
Applications for the Total-Wennovation hackathon close on December 7, with the top 10 entries received to be invited to a hackathon on December 16-18.
The winner will receive US$1,000 and potential adoption of their solution by Total, while their are also smaller cash prizes and the possibility of product adoption for three runners-up.
“The Total-Wennovation hackathon is targeted at harnessing innovative technological solutions to solve defined problem statements by Total, with the purpose of improving business productivity and profitability,” the organisers said.
Total has defined four problem statement applicants must tackle. These are the automation of the warranty management system, the integration of customer complaint and near miss anomaly reporting functionalities into its app, the automation of the Total Card to make it a seamless and convenient experience for customers, and the development of a delivery/order tracking app.
“The top three solutions might be awarded further grants and help, as reviewed and decided upon by Total Nigeria Plc and Wennovation Hub. Total or Wennovation Hub is not obligated to provide any further grants or help to winners if the winning solutions do not scale through internal reviews,” the organisers said.
