Startup and investor community Silicon Cape is hosting a TechWomen networking event under the theme “Supporting the Next Generation of Women Tech Leaders” on Thursday, January 29.
The organisation is calling upon anyone with an interest in promoting female participation in technical fields to hear first-hand how organisations in Silicon Cape are working to develop a pipeline of women tech leaders.
Speakers include TechWomen programme director Arezoo Miot, deputy minister at the Department of Telecommunication and Postal Services Prof Mkhize, and vice president of engineering at Twitter Nandini Ramani.
The Techwomen delegation also consists of mentors from Silicon Valley and emerging leaders from Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Palestinian Territories, Tunisia, Yemen, and Zimbabwe.

Delegations visit non‐ governmental organisations, private and public enterprises, universities, incubators, and innovation hubs,” TechWomen said.
