Applications have opened for the Green Innovators Bootcamp run by the Climate Innovation Centre (CIC), established by the World Bank’s infoDev Climate Technology Programme.
The programme is establishing a network of Climate Innovation Centres (CICs) in selected countries to accelerate the development, deployment and transfer of locally relevant climate and clean energy technologies.
Ghana’s CIC will provide early-stage financing, business support and capacity building services to enable local enterprises to develop innovative climate technology solutions that meet local needs, and is now seeking applications for its Green Innovators Bootcamp.
The bootcamp is designed to identify future Ghana CIC clients, and will see approximately 25 entrepreneurs and SMEs selected to competie for an acceleration programme of training, mentoring, peer-to-peer learning and business advisory support worth up to US$10,000.
“The programme will help the selected companies refine their marketing strategies as well as their business and financial plans,” infoDev said.
Green enterprises and entrepreneurs, both well-established and at startups level, are invited to apply, as well as researchers and consultants supporting green enterprises.
To apply, interested parties must complete and submit an application form, which can be downloaded from the Ghana CIC website or requested by email, by January 31.
