South African development organisation MEDO has brought its Treppie entrepreneurship bus to Cape Town, offering a mobile training centre and giving entrepreneurs the opportunity to find out more about MEDO.
Treppie is this week stationed on the lawn of MEDO’s Cape Town offices on Walter Sisulu Avenue, and entrepreneurs are invited to see how MEDO can assist with supplier and enterprise development programmes, especially in terms of imminent amendments to broad-based black economic empowerment (BBBEE) legislation.
MEDO said bringing Treppie could be the first opportunity entrepreneurs in urban, suburban and rural areas get to speak to experts who can advise them on their startup.
“We are delighted to bring the Isuzu Treppie to the Cape Town community in what we believe presents a great opportunity for us to assist in the development of emerging enterprises – a vital sector spearheading economic growth in our country,” said MEDO chief executive officer (CEO) Judi Sandrock.
“In doing this we have also created a unique opportunity for large organisations to involve themselves with these businesses and in so doing to advance their enterprise development and supplier development strategies.”
