Google South Africa is to mark International Women’s Day by offering female South African entrepreneurs the chance to apply for a Digital Business Manager Workshop.
The free two-day workshop is aimed at women embarking on a new business adventure and who would like to learn more about how to utilise the internet to grow their ventures.
It will be held in Johannesburg on March 10-11, focusing on creating a successful web presence, how to market your business using social media, and how to best utilise digital tools.
Google South Africa said it is committed to bringing together people, in its workforce, industry, and on the web.
“Google believes in bringing people who have a broad range of attributes, experiences, and points of view together. The company believes that differences make people stronger, and produces better, more innovative work,” the company said.
“Core to Google’s mission is equal access to information, which is why it is committed to helping users of all backgrounds and experiences make the most of the web. This is why, when looking at how to mark this years’ International Women’s Day, Google SA decided to embark on this project.”
