Rocket Internet is to launch a new jobs portal – Everjobs – in Africa after establishing it in Myanmar and Sri Lanka, with the mission of simplifying the job search and hiring process.
Everjobs is described by the company as a jobs portal for fast growing economies, offering helpful tools and intuitive features such as a CV creation tool, easy site navigation, search filters, and career tips.
It initially launched Everjobs in Myanmar with work.com.mm, which became the biggest in the country, before launching in Sri Lanka. It aims to become the leading job portal there and in other countries to follow.
“We see an immense opportunity to create a convenient job portal for economies on the rise in Asia and Africa. Everjobs challenges the status quo in these countries for job seekers as well as employers. We believe that every individual has a unique set of skills and personality. All it takes is the right match for them to flourish,” Everjobs co-founder Ronald Schuurs said.
Schuurs said simplicity and ease of use would play a major role in Everjobs’ service, with postings on the website ranging from small local companies to big international corporations and from student jobs to top level positions.
Rocket Internet said Everjobs can expect to benefit from the network of companies in the Asia Pacific Internet Group (APACIG) and the Africa Internet Group (AIG), which manage a portfolio of 17 companies across 45 countries.
“Everjobs will set the standard for job portals in fast growing economies. With a a simple design and a great user experience, we want to simplify the process of finding and offering jobs. Our mission is to enable millions of people to find the right job opportunities in each phase of their professional life,” said Schuurs.
