South African development organisation MEDO’s Treppie entrepreneurship bus is back in Port Elizabeth this week, offering a mobile training centre and giving entrepreneurs the opportunity to find out more about MEDO.
MEDO said the bus aims to give local entrepreneurs and startups the opportunity to grow their businesses, housing a mobile entrepreneur incubator housed inside a four-tonne vehicle.
“The aim is to promote entrepreneurship and enterprising ideas amongst the local community,” MEDO said.
The tour starts at Vuyisile Mini Square today and ends at Ziyabuya Shopping Centre on Friday, March 13, with entrepreneurs invited to visit the mobile office to pitch their businesses and discuss business opportunities. Successful applicants will receive access to further training programmes.
“The partnership between entrepreneurs and MEDO contributes to job creation and growth in our country,” said Noluthando Tutani, project manager at MEDO.
Disrupt Africa reported last month Treppie spent a few days stationed on the lawn of MEDO’s Cape Town offices, with the organisation saying bringing Treppie to the city could be the first opportunity entrepreneurs in urban, suburban and rural areas get to speak to experts who can advise them on their startup.
