Hackers from across Africa have been invited to apply to take part in Global Hackathon Seoul, described by the organisers as the “Hackathon Olympics” and aimed at driving social and technological change.
The South Korea-based Global Hackathon Seoul offers hackers the opportunity to join a global community of developers, designers, and entrepreneurs to be exposed to cutting-edge tech trends and the vibrant culture of Seoul.
“We’re calling on all creators and leaders to unite on this world stage, to champion change and inspire a nation,” the organisers said.
The event – which take place from July 29 to August 1, aims to be the first global hackathon to bring together 2,000 top developers from around the world, and has launched its global applications in search of talented developers. Global Hackathon Seoul organisers are working worldwide, including in Nigeria, looking for ambitious software developers to discuss creative new ideas, create unique innovations, and drive social and technological change.
“Global Hackathon Seoul is eager and available to meet and interact with tech communities and is very keen to meet with hackathon directors, startup/tech-hub managers and group leaders in Africa, India and New Zealand,” the organisers said.
