Google and South African digital marketing association IAB have partnered to run the fourth edition of Digify ZA, a three-month digital marketing bootcamp for young people between the ages of 18 and 25.
Applications are open until Friday, May 1 for the bootcamp, which offers intensive training in digital marketing, social media and content creation, as well as key Google modules including Search, AdWords, YouTube and Analytics.
Young South Africans will also be trained in professional skills to help them obtain digital jobs, working closely with brands, industry insiders and agencies to develop campaigns for real live briefs. “Digifyers” have in the past developed campaign ideas for the likes of Red Bull, Kit Kat, Nescafé and MTN.
“Digital marketers and social media ninjas are ruling the world! The digital industry is looking for young people like you to rise up and tame the beasts of the digital world in fun, creative and innovative ways,” the partners said.
The bootcamp will take place in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, and is free, though participants must cover your own travel costs to and from the course, which will be held at Livity Africa’s office. The course is full-time.
