She Leads Africa is to host a pop-up co-working space dedicated to female entrepreneurs in Lagos, Nigeria, with a number of high-profile industry figures to set to speak to the tenants and provide business support.
The co-working space, She Hive, will be open to female tenants for one week between September 20 and 25, in the run up to the She Leads Africa 2015 Entrepreneur Showcase.
During the week, members can work from the community space during the day, where they will have access to private meeting rooms, high speed internet and other facilities.
A number of daytime workshops will be hosted, on topics such as “joining a global startup” – with Evangeline Wiles, managing director (MD) of Kaymu Nigeria; “thinking long term about your money” hosted by PAL Pensions; and “how to maximize the GT Bank SME MarketHub”.
In the evenings, members will have the opportunity learn from senior business executives such as Aliko Dangote, Hakeem Belo-Osagie and Yewande Sadiku in private fireside chats.
A number of social events will also take place to facilitate networking between entrepreneurs, as well as providing connections to investors.
The She Hive will be located at Cre8 co-working space located on Agoro Odiyan Street in Victoria Island Lagos.
Registration for access passes is here.
The co-working space is one of a number of initiatives forming part of the She Leads Africa Entrepreneur Showcase conference, which will also feature a pitching competition, SLA Pitch.
Disrupt Africa reported in August She Leads Africa announced the six finalists selected to pitch this year, with the winning entrepreneur to be awarded a US$10,000 cash prize, while She Leads Africa will also invest up to US$50,000 in two of the startups.
