Moroccan medical appointment booking startup DabaDoc has announced it is launching in Nigeria and South Africa, in the next round of its rapid pan-African expansion plans.
Launched in January 2014 by sister and brother Zineb Drissi Kaitouni and Driss Drissi Kaitouni, DabaDoc allows users to find doctors and book appointments online.
Thousands of patients each month connect with doctors through its platform, which features doctors in 72 different specialties across 50 cities.
Disrupt Africa reported in May the Moroccan startup began its expansion push by launching in Algeria and Tunisia, with the co-founders promising further launches in new markets within months.
Today, DabaDoc announced the platform will be going live in Nigeria and in South Africa, in the next phase of the company’s pan-continental expansion.
According to co-founder Zineb Drissi Kaitouni, the expansion is in-keeping with the company’s strategic plan, which targets markets which present strong potential.
She said the company’s strategy aims to bring the best quality service to medical professionals and patients using the platform.
