Eleven Angolan startups have been chosen to pitch during the latest leg of the global Seedstars World competition, with the winner earning the chance to pitch for up to US$500,000 at the global final in Geneva, Switzerland next year.
Seedstars World is a global seed-stage startup competition for emerging markets and fast-growing startup scenes, which takes place in more than 50 countries.
African heats have already taken place in Mozambique, South Africa,Nigeria, Ghana,Ivory Coast,Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya and Ethiopia, while applications are also open for the Senegalese leg.
The Angolan competition takes place on Saturday, October 24, with 11 startups selected to pitch to the jury at the event at Espaço Bahia in Luanda, for which Kianda Hub is acting as the local ambassador.
The startups are interaction tool Bitfyr, B2B social network TEC RETINA, home automation startup TECMICRO, entrepreneurship network Makelabor, gaming startup Interactive Load, news aggregator Manifesto, e-commerce store Kwanza Online, jobs site Jobartis, restaurant review platform LNL, online fashion startup SOBA, and payment integration system ProxyPay.
