Applications have opened for the six-month GrowthAfrica accelerator programmes in Kenya and Uganda, targeting early-stage entrepreneurs with startups having a postive impact on society.
GrowthAfrica is inviting applications between now and January 17, with the programmes to begin in March next year.
The hub said it is looking for ambitious and talented early-stage entrepreneurs committed to impacting society positively through their businesses. Though it supports a variety of sectors, of particular interest are products and services addressing environmental sustainability, energy, financial technologies, agribusiness, the construction sector, and essential services.
The programme aims to provide entrepreneurs with a real advantage by providing clarity and articulation of business models and core strategies driving success, as well as one-on-one mentorship and networking through a diverse selection of thought leaders, experienced business executives, successful entrepreneurs, and investors.
Both programmes will also involve an intensive series of workshops providing tools and insights, improving entrepreneurial abilities and leadership skills, while GrowthAfrica will also look to provide access to seed funding.
