The Silicon Valley African Diaspora Investment Symposium will be held on January 29-30, bringing together key stakeholders to discuss the future of investing in Africa.
Registration is now open for the event, which will take place at the Biltmore Hotel and Suites in Santa Clara, California, and is being run as a partnership between the African Diaspora Network the International Diaspora Engagement Alliance (IDEA), Homestrings, the One World Children’s Fund and the Global Fund for Women.
The organisers said the event will highlight the African diaspora’s current and potential future contribution to the continent through direct investment, small business development, philanthropy, and innovation.
“It will also provide a unique opportunity to engage key stakeholders from different sectors to discuss the needs of the continent as well as the existing business investment opportunities,” the partners said.
The symposium will include announcements of new Africa-specific programmes offering more opportunities for the diaspora to engage more significantly in economic growth across Africa.
