On-demand laundry service mobile application Just Laundry has gone live in Johannesburg, allowing customers to book their laundry and have it collected, cleaned and delivered to their door in 24 hours.
On-demand services are in vogue in South Africa right now, with WumDrop applying the concept to the logistics industry and SweepSouth tackling home cleaning, with JustLaundry the latest to launch.
Customers visit the site, choose a service, receive a quote, fill out their details, and make payment, after which a JustLaundry team member comes to collect the laundry. The service is currently available in Johannesburg and Polokwane, and will expand to Durban and Cape Town before the end of the year.
“We simply enable a Johannesburg resident to have their laundry cleaned while they relax – our dedicated team will rock up at your door, clean and have your laundry delivered in just 24 hours or less” said JustLaundry founder William Thubakgale.
“Our clientele consists mainly of adults between the ages of 25 and 40 who have little time to handle some of these household tasks – we come in and handle the laundry at the fraction of the cost.”
