Mobile innovators have one week left to submit their entries for the West Africa Mobile Awards (WAMAS), with winners to be announced at an awards gala on April 21 in Lagos, Nigeria.
The organisers said the response to the WAMAS has been excellent, with entrepreneurs, startups, and established ventures driving mobile industry progress in West Africa encouraged to submit entries for the 10 categories before the deadline of February 26.
Applications are being accepted across a variety of mobile industry categories including e-commerce, mobile money, entertainment, mobile app, and brand development. The awards are free to enter and open to all.
The WAMAS have gathered support from a host of industry influencers including MEST, VC4Africa and CcHub, with the judging panel featuring luminaries such as Tunji Eleso of Growth Capital, Rebecca Enonchong of AppsTech, Josiah Kwesi Eyison of iSpace Foundation, and Chidi Okpala of Airtel Money.
