Venture capitalist and former First National Bank (FNB) chief executive officer (CEO) Michael Jordaan and BRCK founder Erik Hersman are among the speakers at the Net Prophet entrepreneurship event, which returns to Cape Town on April 7.
Disrupt Africa reported last week Net Prophet was returning to Cape Town after a one-year hiatus, bringing together industry leaders, passionate entrepreneurs and innovative online professionals.
Co-hosted by RSAWEB, the UCT Graduate School of Business, Artscape, Sea Monster and Woo Commerce, the event is expecting to welcome over 1,500 attendees to hear 12 local and international speakers share their stories, passions, trend forecasts and the lessons they have learnt through their years in the online industry.
Jordaan and Hersman are among the early confirmed speakers, as are Travelstart group CEO Stephan Ekbergh, RLabs founder Marlon Parker, and Google South Africa head of communications and public affairs Michelle Atagana.
Tickets are now on sale for Net Prophet, which as usual will also run alongside the Sparkup! pitching competition. Applications are now open for the competition, which will see up to 15 startups go through a three-day training programme before having the chance to pitch for on-the-spot investment.
