Fifteen African entrepreneurs have been offered the chance to go on a 10-day Startup Safari to India, in order to immerse themselves in the country’s entrepreneurship ecosystem.
The trip, which costs US$1,600 all-in, will take place in June and offers attendees the chance to interact with startups such as Uber, Zomato and Airbnb while attending entrepreneurship masterclasses at top Indian universities.
Entrepreneurs will have the opportunity of receiving mentorship from top Indian CEOs and thought leaders, as well as take part in innovation visits to global organisations such as Microsoft and Tata Group.
They will also have the opportunity to take part in a “Pitching Room” challenge to share their startups with VCs, angel investors and mentors.
The objective is to build bridges between the ecosystems and unlock potential opportunities across borders. Interested parties have until April 7 to apply, after which 15 entrepreneurs will be selected to take part in the trip.
