Applications are open to UK-based Entrepreneurs Institute’s global competition, Startup Battle, offering startups the chance to win US$25,000 in prizes.

Hosted by Entrepreneurs Institute in partnership with the Rockstar Hubs International, Startup Battle seeks startups from around the world with the greatest potential for impact and growth.

The competition sees applicants’ profiles listed online, with members of the public to vote for the top 10 global startups.

From this shortlist of 10, a panel of experts will select five startups to pitch live to investors at Fast Forward Your Business (FFYB) to be held in London in September.

The overall winner of the FFYB pitching panel will secure US$25,000 in prizes, including a mentoring session with the chairman of the Entrepreneurs Institute, vouchers for US$8,000-worth of Entrepreneurs Institute programmes, free Rockstar Pro access for a year, and three months’ free advertising, among a number of other prizes.

The 10 shortlisted startups will also win a range of prizes.

The investors on the FFYB panel have on average built up and sold at least one company for US$25 million; and are looking for the “next big thing”.

Applications can be made here, until August 19.
