Lusaka-based technology and innovation hub BongoHive has graduated the second cohort of its Launch accelerator programme, with seven promising startups pitching their businesses at a demo day.
BongoHive selected the startups for the second Launch programme in May, with the programme aimed at companies that want to scale and gain traction.
The startups were taken through a customised series of interventions, culminating in a demo day that saw three companies – Live Clean Initiatives, Musanga Logistics, and Afropolitan Theatre Company respectively – selected as the top three and offered places on Thrive, another BongoHive entrepreneurship programme.
The second Launch demo day was held at the New Government Complex of Lusaka, and was attended by business experts and investors as well as BongoHive partners and business friends.
The other startups that pitched at the event were agro-processing company Kasumbi Pure Poultry, online grocery delivery service ShopZed, property management startup Modern Refinements, and tilapia fish production company Fish Living.
