Seed Academy, WDB Investment Holdings and Shell Downstream South Africa have partnered to launch AccelerateHer, a three-month business accelerator for female entrepreneurs.
The fully-funded AccelerateHer programme will offer 25 female entrepreneurs training, mentorship and business development support as well as in-depth coaching from successful women mentors.
Selected entrepreneurs are eligible for access to development opportunities through Shell’s Enterprise and Supplier Development programme and LiveWire, while one entrepreneur stands the chance of winning ZAR50,000 (US$3,000) towards their business.
The programme organisers are looking for black, female entrepreneurs aged between 18 and 35 with a business idea aligned to Shell’s value chain. Participants will see their idea become a registered business within 90 days.
AccelerateHer will take place between February and May, with applications open until February 10.
