Nigerian fintech startups have been invited to pitch their solutions at the Fintech Nigeria Conference in Lagos in April.
The Fintech Nigeria Conference is being hosted by Nigeria’s Fintech Associates and Canadian think tank the Digital Finance Institute on April 24.
It will feature a Startup Pitch Challenge, which will offer selected fintech startups the chance to pitch their solutions before a panel of expert judges at the event.
“This initiative is planned to tap into the creativity of the Nigerian youths and we look forward to product pitches that have the potential to change the financial services landscape,” said Detan Akinhanmi, knowledge events executive at Fintech Associates.
“The Startup Pitch Challenge allows startups to have some stage time to showcase their innovative technology and receive valuable feedback to refine their solutions and scale, as well as to join in growing the ecosystem in Nigeria,” said Christine Duhaime, executive director and founder of the Digital Finance Institute.
“Bringing the community together to support the new startups in the space is critical for Nigeria’s innovation agenda.”
