2 new programmes for Kenyan entrepreneurs

By Tom Jackson on May 17, 2017 East Africa, Events

Kenyan entrepreneurs have been offered the opportunity to apply for two new programmes that can help them develop their businesses.

For startups that do not yet have a clear business idea yet, and want to partner with successful eco-inclusive enterprises around the globe, is the SAG-SEED Replicator, funded by SWITCH Africa Green.

The one-day workshop on June 27 in Nairobi aims to help future entrepreneurs who want to start a business, business owners wanting to expand or refine their business model, and NGOs wanting to fund their activities with revenues.

“This workshop will showcase thriving eco-inclusive business models around the globe and equip you with the tools to adapt these business models in order to create economic, social and environmental impacts in your community,” the organisers said.

For those with a business idea that need expert support to turn it into reality, applications are also open for the SAG-SEED Starter.

“The programme is targeted at future entrepreneurs who have a business idea and are looking for capacity-building support to turn it into reality,” the organisers said.

“Under expert guidance you and other selected teams will come together during two workshops (August and September 2017 in Nairobi) to refine your business ideas and test them with potential customers and partners. After the SAG-SEED Starter programme your team will have a proven concept and will be ready to engage partners, funders, and go to the market.”
