Applications have opened for the MTN Solution Space Venture Incubation Programme in Cape Town, which will offer 10 early-stage startups access to mentorship, workshops and a community of other companies.
The 12-week Venture Incubation Programme is held twice a year, with the latest mentor-led programme taking place from September 1 to November 30.
The programme, which is valued at around ZAR300,000 (US$23,000) takes an approach designed to help entrepreneurial teams test and validate their business models.
It involves advice from seasoned entrepreneurs, investors and mentors, access to a co-working space, bootcamps, skills development from the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business, advisory services, access to funding, networks, and exposure and recognition.
The MTN Solution Space is looking for startups that can demonstrate a deep understanding of the problem, market need and opportunity, a minimum viable product (MVP) ready to conduct early-market testing, a team with the right balance of skills, and founders that can attend on a full-time basis.
Participants in the programme to date include Mygrow, AgriApps, Neural Sense, OneMoola, Last Mile for BoP, Utyre, Chat2Brand, FeastFox and ABCD Concepts. Interested applicants can apply here, while on May 31 the MTN Solution Space will be hosting a Demo Day.
