Engineers Without Borders Canada (EWB) has announced its investment in M-Shule, a Kenyan-based ed-tech startup that uses SMS to deploy tailored education content.
Launched earlier this year, M-Shule is an adaptive, mobile learning management platform designed for primary school students across Sub-Saharan Africa.
The startup uses artificial intelligence to create and deliver personalised learning experiences for each child and empower schools with insights via SMS and web, and aims to educate millions of children and learning communities around the African continent and the world.
This is the eighth venture to receive a cash investment from EWB, which said M-Shule is well-positioned to work within the educational systems in Kenya and other sub-Saharan African countries to provide innovative and adaptive bite-sized lessons that complement classroom learning.
