Applications have opened for the South African #cocreate2ACCELERATE programme, which will offer local startups the chance to scale their startup globally.
The programme is an initiative of #cocreateSA, which was launched in 2015 by the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands as a platform for South African and Dutch counterparts to exchange ideas and innovations for a sustainable future.
The first #cocreate2ACCELERATE programme took place last year, bringing together five South African companies and five Dutch innovators to tackle five different challenges.
Applications have now opened for the second edition of the programme, which will give South African startups the chance to work with top Dutch scale-ups, and engage an international perspective on challenges faced by their business in the South African ecosystem.
The programme focuses on accelerating entrepreneurial growth through ecosystem exposure, collaborative problem solving and knowledge sharing, and networking with key corporate, entrepreneurial and legal players in Cape Town.
Selected participants will get the chance to meet industry thought leaders, corporate mentors and like-minded entrepreneurs, allowing the opportunity to grow their innovation intelligence, networks, market and customer segment understanding, and ensure legal compliance with the help of experts and consumer focus groups.
It also provides the opportunity for international and local media exposure through the Consulate’s extensive media network across a number of platforms, and includes participation at the Innovation Summit in September 2017.
