Startups have been invited to apply for the third annual AppsAfrica Innovation Awards, which recognise the most innovative products and services in mobile and tech.
Applications can be made here until September 10 for the awards, which will take place in Cape Town on November 6, prior to the AfricaCom event.
The awards are held in association with Mobile Ecosystem Forum (MEF) and Mobile Monday (MOMO) South Africa, and will provide winners with international recognition and publicity across multiple channels.
Last year saw over 200 entries from 25 countries, and this year the awards will continue to celebrate and promote the best of African tech, from startups to large corporates.
Applications are welcome across 12 categories from mobile or technology ventures with services launched in at least one African market. Categories include the Disruptive Innovation Award, the Best African App Award, the Enterprise Solution Award, the Fintech Award, and the mCommerce Award.
All applications will be assessed by a team of expert judges selected based on their knowledge, influence and contribution to the improvement of technology and business in Africa. Shortlisted finalists will be announced at the end of September.
