Nigerian online hotel booking startup Nitestay has expanded to other countries, allowing customers to book hotels in Ghana, Kenya, South Africa and The Gambia via its platform.
Launched in 2011, Nitestay allows travellers to search, compare and book hotels at discounted rates, and was the first of its kind at the time of launch.
Having since receive fierce competition from the likes of Hotels.ng and Jovago, the startup rolled out a rewards programme, and is now expanding beyond its home country.
Nigerian travellers are now able to book hotels in Ghana, Kenya, South Africa and The Gambia, with Nitestay co-founder and chief executive officer (CEO) Femi Okanla saying travellers can pay online or at the hotel, and collect points on their Nitestay reward cards.
“Our hotel partner base is beginning to grow in these countries and we continue to focus on growing across Africa,” he said.
“We continue to be innovate and improve travel ease within the continent.”
