Zambian hub and incubator BongoHive has partnered Amazon Web Services (AWS) to provide startups that have been through any of its programmes with free hosting services on their AWS platform.
The offer includes free access to AWS and tools via promotional credits, free and discounted access to various online training modules and labs, access to an AWS technical engineer for follow-up advisory, and the option to be featured on AWS marketing channels.
“There are still a lot of teams we encounter that are yet to realise the value of building their products or services on scaleable and reliable cloud infrastructure as opposed to hosting plans that can be restrictive,” said Simunza Muyangana, BongoHive co-founder and head of entrepreneurship.
“We believe that the training bundled with this opportunity for startups to access AWS infrastructure and support will not only help startups save costs but help their teams build capacity on the right kind of platforms.”
To gain access to the credits, startups must create an AWS account must create one and then contact BongoHive with their AWS ID number, the name of their startup and its website address. Startups already on AWS can also take advantage of this offer.
