AfriLabs, a network of over 60 technology and innovation hubs across 27 African countries, has expanded by seven new hub members.
Since its inception in 2011, AfriLabs has grown steadily. It added 11 new hubs to its network earlier this year, and this latest expansion of its network extends its membership base to three new African countries – Sierra Leone, Somalia and Djibouti.
The new members of the AfriLabs network are GE Garage Nigeria, Ecolia Labs Cameroon, Kumasi Hive Ghana, iRise Hub Somalia, aLabs Sierra Leone, CTID (Centre de Technologie, d’Innovation pour le Developement) Djibouti, Centre d’innovation de Lubumbashi Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
