The entrepreneurship-focused Solve Business School is set to launch in France, inviting African students to apply for scholarships to its Bachelor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation programme.
The new school will open its gates in Vierzon, France, in January 2018, and aims to support promising entrepreneurs from around the world, by building their entrepreneurship skills and helping them to develop their business ventures.
The Bachelor course is modelled on entrepreneurship courses taught at US-based MIT, with the school’s faculty members all alumni of MIT and Harvard.
The school is offering a limited number of scholarships to African students wishing to join the programme, with US$24,000 in tuition fees to be waived for those selected. The scholarships will not cover accommodation and living costs.
“Africa is facing many challenges but is at the same time the land of opportunities. The Solve Business School wants to help to raise an elite of African entrepreneurs by providing them with the best teachings, opportunities, and bootcamps,” says Djamila Youcef-Khodja, director of Solve Business School.
Throughout the programme, MIT-certified mentors will teach students to connect with the most relevant resources, and students will be given the opportunity to interact with international speakers and successful chief executive officers (CEOs).
Students will be involved in international events, with a focus on familiarising them with the local startups environment.
