Seedstars World has announced the names of the 10 startups that will pitch today at its Botswanan event for a place in the global final and the chance to secure up to US$1 million in equity investment.
Early-stage startups competition Seedstars World has been hosting local events across Africa over the past months, and has already picked winners in Mozambique, Tunisia, Tanzania, South Africa, Uganda, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Senegal, Cameroon, Rwanda, Angola, Morocco and Zimbabwe.
Its event in Gaborone takes place today, with 10 startups pitching for the chance to represent the country at the global final in Switzerland next year.
They include financial services tool Indie Studios Africa, online recruitment platform Jobcard, advertising startup Keakopa Explore, coding startup Leintel Codemasters Holdings, and food marketplace Lunchbox.
E-health startup Medmall Africa, learning platform Optimum Q, agri-tech startup Plaasio, ed-tech startup StudentPark and health advice service Yapili complete the list.
