Applications have opened for this year’s edition of the Ericsson Innovation Awards, which will see the winning innovation walk away with EUR25,000 (US$29,000) in cash.
Innovators have until November 15 to apply for the awards, with this year’s theme “The Future of Truth: How will we find, validate and share truth in the age of ICT?”.
Winning teams can get their hands on cash prizes, expert Ericsson mentorship and a trip to Stockholm. This year, the awards are also open to students.
Each regional winner will take home EUR1,000 (US$1,200) in cash plus other prizes, with some innovators chosen for the global semi-finals. All semi-finalists will receive Ericsson mentorship, with finalists then invited to the grand final in Switzerland.
At the grand final, the overall winner will be rewarded with EUR25,000 (US$29,000) in cash, while second, third and fourth place innovators will secure EUR10,000 (US$12,000), EUR5,000 (US$6,000) and EUR2,000 (US$2,500) respectively.
