Harvard Business School’s Africa Business Club is offering startups from the continent the chance to win cash prizes of up to US$10,000.
The student-run Africa Business Club will host its 20th annual Africa Business Conference in Boston in March, which will feature the New Venture Competition.
Ten finalists will be invited to pitch their businesses in front of a panel at the event, with the winner receiving US$10,000 and the runner-up US$5,000.
Finalists will also be offered the opportunity to participate in the Startup Lab workshop, and showcase their startups at the Startup Fair event.
Applications are open here until December 15, and open to all innovative businesses that offer homegrown solutions to local problems. They must be early-stage with less than 50 employees, in operation for less than five years, and have raised less than US$250,000 funding to date.
