Early-stage startup investment conference set for Benin

The inaugural Early-Stage Startups Investment Conference (ESSIC), dedicated to startup financing mechanisms, will take place in Benin next week.

Innovation hub EtriLabs has partnered the Investment and Export Promotion Agency of Benin (APIEx) to host the invitation-only event, which takes place on April 9-10 at Golden Tulip le Diplomate in Cotonou.

ESSIC will bring together stakeholders from Benin and around the world sharing the same interest in finding practical and immediate solutions to the financing needs of startups. It will focus on creating financing mechanisms that meet the specific needs of young businesses.

“The vision for this conference is ambitious. She wants to reconfigure the design of startup investments and their growth by addressing the issues of recruitment, angel investment and impact investing,” the organisers said.
