The Female Founders Network has launched in Nigeria to support entrepreneurs in the health space and provide their businesses with greater visibility.
Launched by the Nigerian Healthcare Innovation Marketplace (NHIM), an initiative of the Private Sector Health Alliance of Nigeria (PHN), the Female Founders Network aims to spur interactions, provide relevant business support and build a sustainable community.
The network wants to support Nigerian health entrepreneurs by connecting them with the brightest business minds both locally and internationally, and also giving them access to the Nigerian healthcare startup ecosystem, industry specialists, fellow entrepreneurs, global partners, talent, and capital.
Innovators belonging to the network will gain access to PHN’s global network, and have the opportunity to be showcased on NHIM’s online portal. Startups will also gain unlimited access to NHIM’s knowledge database, consisting of country data and statistics, research papers, and academic and business reports.
Entrepreneurs will gain access to NHIM’s innovation challenges and hackathons, giving them opportunities to pitch their startups for grant funding, and will have the opportunity to network and collaborate with other startups, experts and investors in the NHIM community through events, workshops, webinars, and mixers.
