Edves, a leading education technology company, has won the prestigious Lagos AOT Awards for its innovative approach to digitising learning and administration in K-12 schools. The ceremony, held in Lagos on the 9th of December at Landmark Event Centre, was a night to remember for the Edves team as they were named the winner of the 2022 Best Startup Category where Utiva, uLesson, AltSchool, Gradely, Akowe, Revocube, LearnAM, and Univelcity were nominated.

Edves, which was founded in 2016, has quickly become the foremost education technology brand in Africa. Its innovative platform allows schools to track learning outcomes, attendance, health and academic records of their students, as well as providing access to over 159 simulations in Maths and Sciences. It’s CBT, e-learning, results processing and payment management features are second to none and with a new partnership, access to school fee loans for parents is now possible.

The brand has also recently launched two new products – one with a focus on personalised learning, allowing students to learn at their own pace and in their own way, and the other that serves as a huge resource for secondary school students to ace their exams by practicing past questions from over four different examination bodies.

In accepting the award, the Edves team thanked the Lagos AOT Awards organisers for recognising their hard work, and also the education community for their continued support.

Art of Technology (AOT) Lagos is the largest tech conference in Nigeria bringing together private and public sector stakeholders to pave way for the emergence of a smarter, digital, efficient and competitive Lagos. The AOT Awards are held annually, and some of the dignitaries that attended this year’s ceremony include the Commissioner for Science and Technology, SA, Innovation and Technology, Lagos State, and the CEO, NaiLab, Kenya. Edves’ win is a huge accomplishment and cements its place as a leader in the educational technology space.

Congratulations to the Edves team on this well-deserved victory!
