Applications have opened for the African Food Fellowship, which is building a radical movement of leaders in Africa working to transform food systems across the continent.
The fellowship, which is initiated by leading institutions Wageningen University and Research and Wasafiri Consulting with support from the IKEA Foundation, supports food systems actors with world-class training, platforms, and networks, to spark collaborative action for healthier, fairer and regenerative food systems.
Applications are open until May 15 for the 2023 cohort of Fellows from Rwanda and Kenya. The team will recruit 80 food systems practitioners, 40 from each country.
In Rwanda, the Fellowship is targeting applicants working in the impact areas of Access to Nutritious Foods, Sustainable Land Use or Food Technology & Trade, while in Kenya, it will be accepting applications from people working in Horticulture, Aquaculture and Agri-finance.
