Disrupt Africa has released the third episode of its three-part podcast series zeroing in on the state of Africa’s e-health startup space, looking at trends, opportunities and challenges within the vital sector.
Disrupt Podcast has released a number of focused series in the last couple of years, including ones venture capital, e-commerce and agri-tech, while it also produces the regular “The month in VC” series.
Its latest focus is on e-health in Africa, looking at the startups that are making waves in the space, what they have achieved so far, and what opportunities and challenges they face going forward. The series looks at how innovation in e-health is so pivotal on the continent, and discusses initiatives and funders that are backing the development of Africa’s health-tech ecosystem.
The series, the third episode of which is available now, is released in partnership with Salient Advisory, which helps changemakers enact transformative approaches to health; Curacel, an insurance infrastructure company; and RxAll, a leading global digital commerce infrastructure platform for healthcare. Representatives from these companies have participated in the series to lend their expertise on Africa’s exciting e-health space.
“We’re excited to partner with Disrupt Africa on this series to deepen understanding of Africa’s health technology ecosystems. Hundreds of innovators are building solutions to help the continent leapfrog healthcare challenges, and improve health outcomes. There’s been no better time to start to give them the attention and focus they deserve,” said Yomi Kazeem, engagement manager at Salient Advisory, which recently launched its latest annual market intelligence report, highlighting a robust pan-African ecosystem of innovators improving the safety and efficiency of health supply chains across the continent.
“We are happy to partner with Disrupt Africa to produce this podcast which aims to shed light on the e-health revolution in Africa and its immense potential for both companies and individuals,” said Henry Mascot, CEO of Curacel.
“We are happy to partner with Disrupt Africa to share our vision of providing affordable high quality healthcare to everyone across Africa,” said Adebayo Alonge, CEO of RxAll.
