South African payments infrastructure company Stitch will host its third annual Scale Summit on Thursday, October 3, in Johannesburg, under the theme “The Year of the Consumer”.

Founded in February 2021, Stitch is a payments infrastructure company that helps businesses scale faster, and operate more efficiently. The Stitch payments API and tools reduce the effort required for businesses across sectors to connect to the financial system and deliver delightful experiences for their users.

With its recent US$25 million Series A extension round, the startup has raised a total of US$52 million in funding, and expanded to become an end-to-end payments service provider. Stitch hosted its first Scale Summit in 2022, a second event last year, and will now host a third in October.

“South African consumers today are participating more than ever in online commerce, with higher expectations for seamless and engaging experiences. In our third annual Scale Summit, we’ll explore what the South African consumer mindset looks like today and how brands should think about reaching and engaging their customers – including how the role of payments innovation in enabling customer acquisition and retention,” said Thea Sokolowski, head of marketing and communications at Stitch.

The Stitch team will partner with AB InBev for the event, which will be held at The Venue Melrose Arch. It is free for attendees, but space is limited. Guests can express interest in joining here and view the agenda and speakers here.
