Nigerian ed-tech startup Dexude secures funding from Business Finland

Nigerian ed-tech startup Dexude has been granted Business Finland TEMPO funding to accelerate its efforts in democratising access to quality education and empowering learners across Nigeria and beyond.

Founded by Kelvin Chikezie and Charles Emembolu, Exude is an AI powered, live-first, expert-led and community-driven ed-tech platform that makes it easy for users to learn directly from influential experts and thought leaders from the comfort of their mobile device.

Business Finland is Finland’s official organisation for innovation funding and trade, investment and travel promotion, and its Tempo funding is intended for startups, SMEs and mid-cap companies aiming for international growth.

Dexude has now gained access to the grant funding, which is undisclosed but has a maximum ceiling of EUR60,000 (US$66,000), which the founders said would accelerate its growth across Nigeria and beyond.

“Securing the Business Finland TEMPO funding is a significant milestone for Dexude. It underscores our commitment to leveraging technology and innovation to revolutionise the way people learn and grow. We are grateful to Business Finland team for believing in our vision, and we are excited to embark on this next chapter of Dexude’s journey,” said Chikezie.

Emembolu said he was honoured and excited to receive the funding.

“This funding is not only a validation of Dexude’s mission to reinvent education but also a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team. With this support, we are poised to accelerate our efforts in democratising access to quality education and empowering learners across Nigeria and beyond,” he said.
