Africa Tech Summit has announced the launch of the inaugural Africa Tech Summit Awards, a new platform designed to celebrate the most innovative and impactful tech solutions, companies, and leaders across Africa.

The winners of the Africa Tech Summit Awards will be announced on February 12, 2025 at the annual Africa Tech Summit Nairobi, where the continent’s top innovators, entrepreneurs, and business leaders will gather to explore, connect and invest in African tech.

The submission categories reflect the diversity of Africa’s tech ecosystem, with a special focus given to emerging innovators and trailblazing women in the tech industry. They include the Fintech Award, the Cross Border Payments Award, the AI Award, the Agritech Award, the Climate Tech Award, the Female Tech Innovator Award, and the Young Tech Innovator Award.

Applications are now open, and startups, scaleups, and established companies are invited to submit their entries by December 5, 2024. Winners will be selected by an independent panel of industry experts.

“We’re delighted to launch the Africa Tech Summit Awards, a platform to shine a spotlight on the outstanding innovation and talent driving Africa’s tech landscape forward. From groundbreaking startups to established leaders, these awards will celebrate those shaping the future of technology across the continent. We’re excited to see the entries and look forward to honouring the finalists and ultimate winners at Africa Tech Summit Nairobi in February,” said Lauren Adair, director of Africa Tech Summit.
