Nigerian blockchain-powered social commerce startup Ajé surpasses 7.5k users

Nigerian startup Ajé, a blockchain-powered social commerce platform, has achieved a major milestone by onboarding over 7,500 users in just 12 months.

Ajé is a blockchain-powered social commerce platform transforming trust in digital trade. By offering secure escrow services, multi-currency wallets, and efficient dispute resolution, Ajé empowers individuals and businesses to transact safely and transparently across emerging markets.

With over 1,000 escrow-protected transactions completed and a 32 per cent month-over-month increase in repeat engagement, Ajé’s platform is rapidly gaining traction among individuals and businesses seeking secure, transparent, and frictionless trade. It has now onboarded over 7,500 users in the last year.

“Trust remains one of the largest barriers to the growth of online commerce in emerging markets,” said Ifeoluwa Wole-Osho, CEO of Ajé. “Ajé’s blockchain-powered escrow service and dispute resolution tools are changing this narrative, empowering users to trade confidently while fostering economic inclusion.”

Ajé has also secured strategic partnerships with Startupbootcamp, Microsoft Azure, and ALX, which validate its technology and position it to scale operations further. The company’s unique combination of escrow payments, multi-currency support, and plans for AI-driven dispute resolution are tailored to meet the needs of underserved markets, particularly in Africa.

To fuel its next phase of growth, Ajé is preparing for a US$500,000 pre-seed funding round to scale its operations, onboard 1 million transactions by 2026, and enhance platform capabilities to better serve its growing user base.
