Applications are open for the free, one-year Women Techsters Fellowship Programme, designed to train young girls and women in high-demand technology skills so they can access opportunities in the tech space.
The Women Techsters Fellowship Programme trains girls and women in the following areas – cybersecurity, devops, data science and engineering, product design, product management, mobile app development, and frontend and backend software development.
The Techsters programme is competitive, admitting only the top three per cent of applicants, and is divided into two six-month phases. The first consists of technical and soft skills training, while the second comprises practical work experience, including internships, volunteering opportunities, freelancing, and entrepreneurship.
Fellows learn the technical skills they need to thrive and succeed in tech, acquire vital soft skills that will prove invaluable for work relations and collaborative projects, gain practical experience by taking on real-world roles, and increase their chances of landing a decent job or building a strong business.
Applications are open here until January 31.
