Africa Tech Summit Nairobi has announced the 10 African tech ventures selected to showcase their innovative solutions for potential funding and partnerships at the event on February 12-13.
Africa Tech Summit Nairobi, powered by Raenest, will take place at the Sarit Expo Centre, and features a B2B summit, exhibition, and awards. It will feature four key track themes – Africa Money & DeFi Summit, Africa Climate Tech & Investment Summit, Africa Startup Summit, and the Africa Mobile & App Summit.
Over 200 submissions were received from 24 countries for the event’s investment showcase, with 10 ventures selected, representing sectors such as fintech, insurtech, e-health, agri-tech, and cleantech.
Three of those ventures are from Nigeria, namely Dojah, an anti-fraud infrastructure platform that enables businesses to detect, prevent, and manage fraudulent activities in real-time; Heala Tech; a digital health platform that streamlines healthcare delivery in Africa; and Pricepally; an e-commerce startup addressing inefficiencies in the food distribution system.
A further three are from Kenya – Duhqa, a B2B platform that connects retailers with manufacturers and suppliers; MaishaPoa; an insurtech startup that provides affordable and accessible micro-insurance solutions; and OnSpace Technologies; a no-code platform that addresses a critical problem faced by agricultural SMEs and related industries – the lack of affordable, accessible, and adaptable business systems.
Also selected are Uganda’s Flow Global, which provides MSMEs in developing countries with financing; Tanzania’s Bizy Tech, which has developed a digital agricultural platform; Rwanda’s JaliKoi, which provides a simplified approach for low and middle-income earners to access financial services; and Koolboks (France, Nigeria and Kenya), which provides pay-as-you-go (PAYG) solar-powered refrigeration solutions to underserved communities and SMEs.
“We are delighted to welcome these ventures to the seventh edition of Africa Tech Summit Nairobi,” said Andrew Fassnidge, director of Africa Tech Summit. “The ATS Investment Showcase continues to showcase and connect investment ready tech ventures, with leading VCs and support them in a challenging funding environment.”
