A Solana-Ethereum flip has been a long-standing topic of discussion for investors. Things are starting to tilt in SOL’s favor as bullish Solana price predictions make the rounds.
Ethereum remains dominant for now, but the gap is narrowing. Let’s take a deep dive into whether SOL could actually flip ETH anytime soon.
Solana is on fire, with no signs of slowing down
Solana is flying higher once again. After cresting new all-time highs in January, peaking at $293, it’s now up over 35% in the past 30 days and jumping 22.5% in just the last seven to $180 right now.
It became the standout layer-1 of 2024, driven by spiking on-chain activity and SOL meme coins. Momentum has carried over, with the network processing over 100 million transactions each day from more than 3 million active wallets.
Big things are on the horizon, too. Firedancer, Solana’s upcoming validator client, is expected to double block space and cut finality times dramatically. It’s set to go live later this year and unlock even more speed and scale across the network.
Solana price predictions are highly bullish. The Crypto Basic is calling for $261 soon, while some analysts are calling for $500, even $1,000 by the end of the year.
That’s driven by expectations that a US-based Solana ETF could arrive this year. A Solana ETF launched in Canada in April, with the deadline for a US decision in October.
So will SOL flip ETH? SOL’s market cap is a decent way below ETH’s at $93 billion vs $315 billion, but experts are optimistic. 21 Shares notes that Solana could be at the center of online transactions, while Multicoin Capital’s Kyle Samani is convinced that a flip will happen, based on SOL’s on-chain metrics and structural advantages.
Ethereum remains top dog for now
Ethereum still sets the pace for most of crypto’s infrastructure. It’s the foundation for tokenized assets, decentralised finance and stablecoins and that’s not changing overnight. Big players like BlackRock, UBS and Deutsche Bank are building directly on Ethereum and its layer-2 networks to back its role in future finance. One prediction suggests trillions of dollars in assets could be tokenized on Ethereum by 2030.
But while the fundamentals are solid, Ethereum’s pace has been steady rather than explosive. Spot ETF flows have dipped in 2025 and retail sentiment hasn’t fully caught up with the institutional buildout. Still, with a market cap over 3x Solana’s, Ethereum has the lead for now.

Even with recent ETH strength, rising more than 56% over the past 30 days, its ecosystem is definitely maturing. As Kyle Samani contends, aspects of Solana’s infrastructure, like token extensions, Firedancer and scaling with hardware, would be impossible to replicate. In the medium term, it’s entirely plausible that SOL could flip ETH.
Remittix is a global payments play hidden in plain sight
While Ethereum and Solana battle it out, Remittix is building something refreshingly practical.
It lets users convert over 40 cryptocurrencies into fiat and send the money directly to bank accounts, all with a flat fee and a few simple steps. That’s huge for global transfers, especially in a $194 trillion cross-border payments market.
Businesses can plug into Remittix using its Pay API, accept crypto and settle in fiat instantly. There’s also a merchant account option with support for over 30 fiat currencies and 50+ crypto pairs. It’s simple, fast and built for the future. $15 million has now been raised in the presale, with a $250K giveaway pushing adoption. Global payments are moving towards crypto, and Remittix is building the infrastructure for it.
Solving problems is the real endgame
Ethereum might still hold the crown, but Solana is catching up. However, projects like Remittix are showing that utility matters just as much as speed or scale. Crypto is all about solving problems with traditional finance and Remittix is doing just that.
It’s building quietly in the background ahead of an exchange listing. It could be explosive, especially as markets continue to heat up. Check out the RTX token presale today.
