African startups have been invited to apply for this year’s EY SDG Accelerator for Women Entrepreneurs, which aims to help scale women-led AI solutions for social impact and enabling inclusive finance.
The EY SDG Accelerator for Women Entrepreneurs is designed to support women-led AI ventures that align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – fostering solutions that tackle climate change, improve livelihoods, and build resilient communities across the Global South.
It will identify and support five AI-driven impact enterprises led by women in Africa, Latin America and South/Southeast Asia over a six-month period. These impact enterprises must be leveraging AI for good, using responsible AI practices, to address critical challenges faced across the world today – from climate change, food insecurity, social and economic inequity and beyond.
Selected entrepreneurs will receive dedicated one-to-one EY business coach, professional technical workshops, and capacity-building sessions facilitated by industry-leading collaborators. They will also have access to a global network of investors, corporates, and social innovators, regular peer-to-peer calls to build a global community, and occasional opportunities to join various events, promotional opportunities, and external collaborator engagements.
Applications are open here until June 15.
