Disrupt Africa is set to release the second edition of “Diversity Dividend”, its groundbreaking research publication focusing on gender equality in the African tech startup ecosystem.
The inaugural 2023 edition of “Diversity Dividend: Exploring Gender Equality in the African Tech Ecosystem” marked the first ever deep-dive into gender equality, or the lack of it, within the African tech startup space.
Key findings included the fact that of almost 2,500 African tech startups studied for the purpose of the report, only 14.6 per cent had a female co-founder and just 9.6 per cent were led by a female CEO. The report has been downloaded more than 20,000 times.
As part of Disrupt Africa’s upcoming publication of the second edition of the report, we are asking female members of the ecosystem to complete the following survey. There are separate surveys for founders and investors. Aggregated data from the answers collected will be featured in the report; but individual answers remain anonymous.
Most are multiple choice answers, but please feel free to leave your additional comments in the blank section(s) provided.
