Disrupt Africa is once again asking female entrepreneurs, VCs and angel investors on the continent to give their views on gender diversity within the tech ecosystem, with the findings to be revealed as part of the second edition of its groundbreaking report on the subject.
The inaugural 2023 edition of “Diversity Dividend: Exploring Gender Equality in the African Tech Ecosystem” marked the first ever deep-dive into gender equality, or the lack of it, within the African tech startup space.
Key findings included the fact that of almost 2,500 African tech startups studied for the purpose of the report, only 14.6 per cent had a female co-founder and just 9.6 per cent were led by a female CEO. The report has been downloaded more than 20,000 times.
Disrupt Africa will shortly be releasing the second edition of “Diversity Dividend”, which will once again feature the results of a comprehensive survey conducted among female members of the entrepreneurial and investment ecosystem.
We are asking female members of the ecosystem to complete the following survey. There are separate surveys for founders and investors. Aggregated data from the answers collected will be featured in the report; but individual answers remain anonymous.
Most are multiple choice answers, but please feel free to leave your additional comments in the blank section(s) provided.
